Keep PSO Pulsing
Dear Member, Player, Friend, Subscriber and audience of the Penrith Symphony Orchestra,
As you know, the Penrith Symphony Orchestra is a long-standing and highly respected contributor to the Arts scene in the City of Penrith. However, for a number of years the PSO has been operating in a difficult funding environment and struggling financially. We are urgently asking that you put your efforts behind our “Keep PSO Pulsing” campaign by pledging a regular monthly donation to the Penrith Symphony Orchestra Inc. For example:
- 50 donations at $10 per month for 1 year would raise $6,000
- 50 donations at $25 per month for 1 year would raise $15,000
Donations made to PSO Inc. are tax deductible.
Please complete this form to make your pledge and act on your pledge by setting up a recurring transfer into the following account name:
PSO Donations Fund
Please include your surname and “pledge” in the reference field.
Alternatively, you can make your donation online here or by transfer or cheque made out to PSO Donations Fund. A receipt will be issued to each donor twice yearly, at 30 June and 31 December.
Support PSO with a tax-deductible donation
Penrith Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organisation managed by a volunteer board, with only minimal professional administrative support. Most years it receives as little as 10 per cent of its income from government sources. Even with the large audiences it regularly attracts, box office income alone is not sufficient to sustain the quality and variety of the orchestra's programs. The generous support of private donors and business sponsors is therefore vital to the orchestra's survival. We invite you to join our 2017 fundraising drive to Keep PSO Pulsing by making a tax-deductible donation.
PSO's charitable status
Penrith Symphony Orchestra is listed on the ATO's Register of Cultural Organisations (ROCO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient, and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission as an Income Tax Exempt Charity (ITEC). Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
